Day 23 – Peace

Day 23 – Peace

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ….”

Romans 5:1, NIV

With all the conflict in our world, the daily news and on social media, it might be easy to forget that Jesus has given us the gift of his peace. Our peace with God is achieved by Jesus’ work of exhausting evil at the cross and destroying its power with the resurrection. Jesus crushes the malicious, warring and destructive powers, and makes a new reality possible for our flourishing. Therefore, no matter the chaos around us, or maybe even within us, we can have peace knowing God is with us and for us through Christ.

Prayer Guide:

  1. Take time to meditate with thanks on God’s provision of peace through Jesus.
  2. Ask God to help you experience peace in those areas of your life that are filled with conflict.
  3. Ask God to show you a new way to be a participant in sharing that peace with others around you.
  4. Thank God for the opportunity to receive and to be an instrument of God’s peace through Christ.
