Day 9 – Love
Day 9 – Love
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel (which means “God with us”).”
Matthew 1:22-23, NIV
This all righteous, all mighty God chose to be in the company of sinful and disobedient human beings whom he loves and wants to have fellowship with. He came to us in a humble and humanly inconceivable way to show us his love and purpose. He is a God of all possibilities.
God with us signifies the fact that Jesus is so near that he knows what we think, when we hurt and all the circumstances we are in moment by moment. He promised to remain with us to eternity.
Prayer Guide:
- Can you imagine the unconditional love of Jesus displayed on the cross? God becoming human only to save us?
- Remember and be thankful for the numerous instances of help you have received from the Lord to date.
- Do you realize and practice your new position in Christ? Pray that you feel his presence in your day-to-day life. He is right there in you, near you, talk to him! Ask him for comfort and guidance.
- Pray that God’s presence will overwhelm and guide the FPU leadership and the community. Pray for more blessings.
