Meetings and Food Trucks

So, at this point, you are probably wondering, how in the world, is this girl going to blog all throughout the summer? After all, it seems like by the middle of week three and a half, everything will be pretty regular and pretty mundane. However, that is not the case. Each week so far has been filled with something or focused on something that’s been different from the week before. It provides for a nice variety and tends to mix things up just enough so that I am not bored in any way, shape or form. Don’t you worry though, I am still finding plenty of time to watch Netflix, knit and do what I want, in addition to the things I need to be doing.

Last week was focused on two things. On Wednesday, I was focused on a big congregational meeting that my home church was having in order to vote to call a pastor to our church. I was nervous it wouldn’t go as planned because I had been on the call team (or search team) and was proud of the work we had done. The meeting went really well and we are waiting for the formal acceptance of the call from the pastor. Yay!

The other thing I was focused on was food trucks. This may sound lame, but to me food trucks are some of the best inventions ever. One may think that in Fresno there’s not a lot of things to do, however, you just have to look for things to do. My boyfriend, Patrick, discovered that at Gazebo Gardens on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights there are food trucks of all kinds there from 5-9. So, on Saturday, I went with his family to check it out. I was impressed. I researched it even further and found out which trucks will be there and when for the rest of this month. You can check it out yourself here. You should check it out sometime, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed! Anyways, can’t wait to write next week and let you know more about my summer!
