“How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the miraculous signs I have performed among them?” Numbers 14:11

“If we are faithless, he will remain faithful for he cannot disown himself” 2 Tim. 2:13

The only way I was able to embrace God’s call for Joe and me to shine God’s light of hope and love in Lahore, Pakistan, was to believe in the call “Go into all the world.” I had to choose what report I would believe, the bad news that promotes terrorizing fear, or the good news that encourages faith in our unseen savior.

Because I chose the latter, we witnessed God engaging us to empower those stricken by fear. Lives were changed from hopeless to hopeful, even the poorest of the poor grew in their faith.

The important question is, how long will we refuse to believe what the Lord has said? If we believe nothing is impossible with God, then the impossible should be manifested in our lives. Why do we fail to reach beyond what we see? The only way to position ourselves for a miracle is to believe that God is able. We must believe he is with us even when it seems like we are in the battle alone and the giants are getting bigger. So “do not let your hearts be troubled” by bad news reports. Have faith in God! He is faithful even when we are faithless. Through him we are able to make Fresno Pacific University a light house in the Valley.
