Our Culture of Evidence Story

An update by Dr. Cindy Carter, Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and Degree Completion,

On December 17, 2014, at 1:00 p.m., a small but happy FPU team pushed the ‘send’ button, propelling your Educational Effectiveness Report (EER) across the electronic ethers to WASC’s cloud.  The visiting team now has access to FPU’s compelling ‘culture of evidence’ story:

In every FPU office, data is constantly being collected, organized, and assessed to determine how effectively we are supporting students’ needs.  From assessment comes meaning, which moves us to action.  That story has become an enduring theme.

Of course, each FPU office, school, and program is unique. Distinctions and shared experiences are all chronicled in the EER along with its 485 pieces of supportive evidence. Every FPU office deserves gratitude for contributions toward this important report. You continually reflect beautifully upon FPU’s mission: To develop students for leadership and service through excellence in Christian higher education.

In addition to posting the report and supporting evidence documents on WASC’s cloud, the documents also became accessible as of Monday, Dec. 22, through the following link: wasc.fresno.edu

If you haven’t already created a log-in for that site, you will be prompted to do so when you click on “WSCUC Reports and Exhibits”.

On February 11, FPU will engage in a series of on-campus Mock Interviews to prepare for the February 24 – 27 WASC site visit.  Please continue to watch for invitations and other related announcements.
